Dabber Resist

Well it's Sunday late arvo, another week gone................haven't had much scrapp'n time boo hoo, but have managed to do a little playing.

Dabber Resist this is one of the techniques Tim Holtz shares in his new book 'A Compendium of Curiosties' , it is also a technique that we learnt in my online class with Nic.

My tag, which i made as the manilla shipping tag didn't give me the results i wanted from T!m's Victorian Velvet distress ink , a touch of Aged Mahogany around the edges, a touch of     Iridescent Gold glimmer mist over the whole tag, Collections Butterflies, a few pearls and this is my result

Well must a way , the fairy never stopped by to cook our dinner lol

Wishing you all a great week ahead with lot's of scrapp'n time :-)

Take Care

Territory Style

I seem to have a few stories to tell of late, they go with the pic's so bare with me.............I am doing a course with Nic Howard -  Dimensional Details. So my pre-class layout is finished & i wander outside to take pic's, having a bit of trouble finding the right location I suggest to Neil that i need something that I can just put my pic on and shoot..................Well bless his white cotton socks...............look what he made me, with the comment 'not many men would be doing this' maybe he is going to be Mr Inky of Oz......rotflol..........

Neil has  stored it in the kids cubby, so I can grab it whenever needed and put to whatever backdrop i like, so you will see lots more of Neil's creativity.................

Now for the layout - featuring Shani my daughter

Products used - Dusty Attic  Swirly vine , Mulberry flowers , Collections Elements Butterflies , Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist , Birds nest i used a bead cap which looks like a nest & scraps of paper rustic charm . So that was my Good Friday, how about yours?

Easter Bonnet Parade

Decorated Hat Day - Easter Bonnet Parade -  Last day Term 1

Jess told me on Monday they had to decorate a hat, nothing about Easter or anything like that just 'decorate a hat mum'. So we came up with a plan to decorate this hat he got in Bali on the elephant tour he went on. So i went out and bought all these African animals & had a bit of a plan in my head as he did in his. So Wednesday nite (nothing like leaving it till the last minute) I pull out all this stuff & call Jess for assistance. Neil  sitting there reading the  school newsletter throws in this comment  'it's an Easter bonnet you are meant to be making'..............aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh ........that's my Jess!

So off to the shop  Shani goes for some last minute supplies & here is the results of Jess's Easter bonnet & by the way he actually won..................god love him

I did ask him to smile 'don't like smiling mum' so this was shot #3 and i gave up :-)  lol

The hat came home but the eggs fell out of the nest and broke so they had to eat them.................kids you got to love them!
