2nd Last Week BPS

it's week 12 @ DD only one to go..................

This is my Interpretation of a sketch designed by Beck Fleck

The title of this one below is meant to be 'Putting the perfect layout together' - i'm not real happy with it but thought i'd share anyway.

It's Jessiah nickname Feral - although he has improved with age . He even told me that Uncle Noel said he wasn't FERAL no more lol!

Last i wanted to share a pic of a little vistor that popped in to say hello last night - I got a bit close with the camera and he flew away scaring the S#@! out of me :-)

My mum is right into birds so i emailed her to ask what it was and here's her reply -

I think your owl is a junior Barking owl [Ninox connivens]. Large, bright yellow eyes. Almost no facial mask. Upperparts brownish-grey, coarsely spotted white. Flight feathers, tail, barred lighter. Underparts white, streaked brownish-grey. MALE larger. Size 40 cm. JUV. incomplete collar; flanks and breast have pattern like adults. Northern birds browner, darker, smaller. VOICE explosive, dog-like, double bark; wavering human-like scream; grating trill; various growls HABITAT forests, woodlands. Found all over Australia except deserts.

well my partner Maria received it in today's mail so i thought i'd share with you what i sent. Enjoyed most of it, had a headache or two with the box itself but know now for next time.

Blog catch up!

Doesn't time fly...........one very busy beaver this end with lots and lots happening and the day just slipping by me to quickly. Have managed a little time to create over the last few weeks...............

My LO for week 11 BPS - Floral Expression. I just had to use German Scrap Lace to make my flowers, have been making lots of these of late, they are so easy and you can change to what ever colour you want &  size...........Oh nearly forgot with all the excitement of GS,  the Papers and chipboard elements are Collections Elements

Here's a close up - the large flower underneath is from the Filigree flower sheet with Burnt Red Glimmer mist applied the 3 smaller flowers made from Princess Lace quite fitting really as i have princess in one of the bookplates on the LO but only just registered lol   Leaves have European Gold Rub 'n' Buff applied to them , a couple stamens, muslin and wala...............

As this week was all about making your own flowers, i sort of cheated and took photo's of the blue & cream ones as well. I made these a few months back to put on cards, the same techniques were applied so i have learnt that part. Plus what's a girl to do when she knows those bits and is controlled by the ticking clock LOL

Week 10 BPS - Making it ourselves - this is Zeb ( Zebadiah) my eldest boy. The pic was taking in Bali at my cousin's wedding! I got down with T!m Holtz on this one!

Week 9 BPS - Stack & Cluster -  Neil & I, i'm not one to have my photo taken as i don't like the end result of them, tend to always show my double  chin and other flaws lol
