A Treasure Trove for DAD

We all have favorites that we tend to go straight to right? Well I ventured outside my favorite zone to play today and used Tacky Craft Glue, Premium Craft Glue, Crystal Kote Matt & yep you guessed it a fav snuck in there too Crackle Mediums! 

The Tacky Craft Glue worked a treat getting my Chippy stuck down and the Premium Craft Glue did the same with the metal bits - unreal a few more to add to my favorites list :-)

Don't tell DAD but I raided his shed when he wasn't looking  lol

So now I have done the decorating I'll leave it up to the kids to fill with goodies for DAD xxx

Flower Power!

Hey There - Its me again :-)

Today I want to share with you what I have been up to with those wicked Helmar Adhesives.

I call it 'Flower Power' - why you may ask - well its all to do with using of heaps of flowers and that was the first name that came into my head lol.

I have been itching to do a canvas along the same lines as this for ages, but  when I saw this  book box from our local 2 buck shop I knew I had to have it so 10 bucks later (why do they call it the 2 buck shop when not much is 2 bucks had got me lol ).... and lots of Prima roses, some Dylusions Ink Sprays and how does one forget the most important bit HELMAR Adhesives - here I used my fav's Acid Free Glue, 450 Quick Dry,  Crackle Mediums and I finished it off with a generous coat of Crystal Kote Gloss.......

 Flowers, Flowers & more Flowers...............

Look how awesome the Ink Sprays worked with the Crackle Mediums - Look at all the texture baby, love it !!

 It's just an open Flower Power kinda book/trinket box !! Honestly go grab yourself some Crackle Mediums and have a play I promise you, you wont be disappointed :-)

Framing it with Acid Free Glue!

 Hi Ho its me again :-) This time I wanted to show you what I do with Helmar Acid Free Glue. I have a huge love for chippy and I find Helmar Acid Free Glue works wonders with it. I recently did classes with Finnabair, and this Layout was one of my creations and I thought it deserved a frame - dont you reckon??

My frame is made up of layers and layers of stripes of chippy all stuck together with Helmar Acid Free Glue

 I am a little messy with glueing as I get right in there with my fingers as the spreader, making sure I get right to the edges.

I  also used Helmar Acid Free Glue to adhere the LO into the frame - love love love this glue !!!

I then painted the frame and applied Helmar Two Step Crackle Mediums for that extra touch. Then another coat of paint as i missed bits lol.... but hey it still showed the crackle throught the paint - love love love it !!

 

Yummo - look at that crackle - nearly better than the one you get on your pork roast lol

I Feel like a Decoupage Queen !

 

I have been totally inspired by Finnabair lately (and I even had her at my place to play - WOWZZA's did I learn a trick or two). So with my MOJO totally rocking this is what i came up with,  A tag & gift box!! I did have my mother in mind for Mother’s Day – but I think I like it too much to part with it …so mother got something else and it’s my Mother’s Day gift now lol

 I started out with the little tag and used Helmar Decoupage  to build up some layers. I then painted it and highlighted some areas to show the texture.

 Not satisfied with just the tag and I decided a box needed a new face-lift too…

Helmar 450 Quick Dry is my go to glue when it comes to sticking things quick like the resin flowers, Out There Chippy's new circle LOVE word & the odd trinket  ……it’s just perfect and I would have to say a favourite of mine!!

 Wanting to keep with the theme of my Vintage look, I used Helmar’s 2 Step Crackle, I applied it quite thick as I wanted to really get my crackle on - A few highlights (oops sometimes a little heavy handed but I still think it gives that aged look) check out the great effects I got – LOVE IT!!!

Rocking it with the Kiwi Girls!!!

I recently ventured over the sea to the land of the long white cloud to attend a Luxury Scrapper’s Retreat ‘Autumn Escape’ – New Zealand. I had the pleasure of teaching some classes and did make ‘n’ takes with these gorgeous Kiwi girls showing off some awesome Helmar products and I wanted to share what we got up to :-)

 Here is the make ‘n’ take we did using Helmar 450 Quick Dry. A lot of the girls hadn’t used Helmar 450 Quick Dry before and they were amazed!!

 A quote from Nic Howard – ‘it’s like a hot glue gun in a bottle’ – love it!!

 As much as I would love to make claim to this awesome frame , I won’t this is the art work of my gorgeous  sister Ang she has knocked the ball out of the park – don’t you think??

&&&&& another Huge highlight for me - I hosted  "Territory Dreaming" with our STAR being Finnabair!! Words cant explain how special i feel to have had this chance of a lifetime with one of my idols. I learnt so much and had extra time with Finn to play, sight see & just spend time with her - she is such a sweetie and so inspirational to be around - it was like winning the lotto to me and i will be smiling for along time yet - so thanks Finn you rocked my world xxx
