Rocking it with the Kiwi Girls!!!

I recently ventured over the sea to the land of the long white cloud to attend a Luxury Scrapper’s Retreat ‘Autumn Escape’ – New Zealand. I had the pleasure of teaching some classes and did make ‘n’ takes with these gorgeous Kiwi girls showing off some awesome Helmar products and I wanted to share what we got up to :-)

Here is the make ‘n’ take we did using Helmar 450 Quick Dry. A lot of the girls hadn’t used Helmar 450 Quick Dry before and they were amazed!!
A quote from Nic Howard – ‘it’s like a hot glue gun in a bottle’ – love it!!
As much as I would love to make claim to this awesome frame , I won’t this is the art work of my gorgeous  sister Ang she has knocked the ball out of the park – don’t you think??
Here she is with me – not the best pics of us and I’m not good with photoshop editing to take out all the flaws lol
Some more samples ………… All created with lots of Helmar.

Look at all the busy hands – can’t see any of the Helmar 450 Quick Dry I think the girls claimed it when I wasn’t looking lol……………

So that was the Make ‘n’ Takes do you want to see what we did in class???
Keeping Tabs – an address book…
Thanks so much for stopping by until next time take care

Little Gifts

Hi - how you all doing??
Busy times for me lately and more to come, but i have managed to find a little time today to make this little gift box to share with you all :-)
I started with a flat pack box & used Helmar Acid Free Glue to construct my box.
I would normally use Helmar Acid Free Glue to adhere 'Wonderland' 7 Dot Studio paper to the chippy box but today i tried Decoupage & Craft Paste  & it has won me over :-)
German Scrap - Paper Laces did the trick for the scalloped edging. Then i made some resin flowers, painted them white added a little spritz of Perfect Pearls & backed them with some muslin, a little baby's breathe, a tiny charm & adhered them into place with 450 Quick Dry Adhesive.
I applied  Fabric Stiffener & Draping Liquid to some Scrappers Floss and twisted it around a skewer to add some curls......

Until next time take care

A little storage!

Hey there - its been awhile but i think i'm back on track !
I have been playing with some storage ideas and with AGB's help we have come up with this - A Card Storage Box.
It could be a card box or you could use it as a recipe box or an index card box lots of ideas really....
The box is what i call flat-packed - so to construct the chippy box I used  Helmar Acid Free- Neutral pH glue once the box was constructed i spread Helmar Acid Free- Neutral pH glue. over the chippy making sure to get it right to the outside edges then i used 7 Dots Studio - Dreamer Papers  and covered the base and the lid, sanded and inked the edges then it was time to decorate. I put a few sprays of water on the
OTC Chippy Leaves and Flourish and spread the layers of the chippy and added a scrunch here and there for extra texture then applied a few colours of Glimmermist and adhered it all with yep you guessed it Helmar Acid Free- Neutral pH glue (it's a fav lol)
I added flowers mad e from German Scrap - Paper Laces,a dragonfly trinket and a feather or two.
Here is the inside - embossed and labelled ready to fill...........................
I wanted to show you how i make my flowers........ these are also a big fav of mine :-)
You will need Helmar Acid Free- Neutral pH glue , paper lace & stamens.
Run a small amount of Helmar Acid Free- Neutral pH glue on the base of the lace...............
fold the stamens in half and place in the end of the lace and roll once over...........
start pinching the lace and working around and around to form a flower - sort of placing the petals where you want them............
see i'm getting there - and do you know how hard it is to take photo's while demoing at the same time lol
keep going until you have the size you want - EASY HEY ??? Add some Glimmermist or Ink and Olala............
& & &
Here's a card i made to go in my box - i'm getting in real early this year for Fathers Day - i reckon i will get lots of Brownie points for this one lol

Thanks for stopping by unitl next time take care and happy creating

Where did that 2 months go ??

= Lots of travel! I have been to every state except Victoria & Tassie and I'm so glad to be home for awhile......... I thought i'd catch up on a couple of creations i did awhile ago - they were Chrissie one's but i haven't had time for me  lately :-( I Hope this is about to change, there is so much I want to do, lets hope that my MOJO is right there with me!!

My MOJO for this Christmas Decoration Shadow Box came from a dear friend who came up with the idea of Christmas in DARWIN.
"Merry POLLY Christmas"
I used Gemstone Glue to stick the pearls on the Trinket Tree and a mixture of Acid Free - Neutral pH glue & 450 Quick Dry to secure all the other Trinkets and bits & bobs into place under the tree.
Santa was fussy cut and laid on-top of the Santa underneath using liquid scrap dots to give him dimension.
I tend to be a little heavy handed sometimes so the Vellum Adhesive was just perfect to adhere the intricate Chippy lettering!

& For Manor House Creations I made a Chrissie Tree - a little video demo.

till next time happy creating & Take Care
